The year was 1874, and he simply wanted to give a gift to his daughter, Anna Gustafva Ekman, and her husband, Knut Henning Geselius von Sch\u00e9ele.  When Professor von Scheele was later appointed bishop of Visby, the villa was sold to the Uppsala Medical Association. Between the years 1879-1942 it housed the Kalmar Nation, the Medical Association&#8217;s library and the Christian girls&#8217; school Lindska Skolan. The house was eventually purchased by the cathedral parish and was used as a parish hall for both the cathedral parish and the parish of the Holy Trinity. Since 1660, the area around Villa Anna has been known as Odinslund and the avenue, which was laid out by botanist Carl von Linn\u00e9, is one of Uppsala&#8217;s oldest walking paths.<\/p><p>Today the house is owned by the real estate company MIAB F\u00f6rvaltning.
